Why teams switch from basic GPS apps
Every one of these is something you can test on a phone in an afternoon. We are happy to run that trial with you.
| In the field | Typical GPS app | FieldFlowSales |
|---|---|---|
| The phone kills the app mid-route | Tracking stops until someone reopens it | A native service keeps recording |
| No signal for an hour | Points are lost or the route has gaps | Stored on the phone and synced later |
| Battery saver switches on | Often paused by the operating system | Keeps running, tuned for all-day use |
| A reading jumps across the map | Counted as distance travelled | Detected and flagged automatically |
| Distance for reimbursement | Raw GPS, jitter included | Filtered and drift-corrected |
| Proof of a visit | A self-reported check-in | Geofenced check-in and odometer photos |

What is field sales tracking software?
Field sales tracking software records where a sales agent travelled, which customers they visited and what they sold, then turns that into reporting a manager can act on. It typically covers GPS route tracking, visit check-in, order capture and expense or mileage reimbursement.
How is this different from a GPS attendance app?
Attendance apps confirm someone was somewhere at a point in time. FieldFlowSales records the whole route continuously with a native background service that survives app kill and battery optimisation, logs every point to a local write-ahead log so nothing is lost offline, and ties each visit to a geofence, odometer reading and photo. The result is data accurate enough to pay reimbursements from.
Does it work without mobile signal?
Yes. The app is offline-first by design because field work is offline-first. Routes, visits, orders and photos are written to local storage immediately and sync when a connection returns, so a basement or a low-signal rural belt does not create gaps in the record.
Which industries use FieldFlowSales?
It is built for organisations that pay people to travel: FMCG and beverage distribution, pharma detailing, building materials, auto dealer networks, field service and collections. The typical team is 20 to 60 field agents.
Can it integrate with our existing ERP or accounting system?
Integration is available on the Enterprise plan. Talk to us about your stack and we will confirm what is supported before you commit.
How long does rollout take?
Days rather than quarters. Agents install the mobile app and sign in with an invitation; managers work from the web dashboard. Customer data can be bulk imported with address geocoding, so there is no manual re-entry.
