Noise filtering
Filtering smooths GPS noise and estimates the true position between readings, so jitter from a phone sitting still does not turn into distance.
Error detection
Impossible speeds, sudden jumps across the map and bad-signal readings are detected and flagged automatically as they arrive.
Motion sensors
Combines GPS, accelerometer, and motion sensors to verify movement and catch errors that single-sensor systems miss.
